About Us

Turning Point began serving women and children affected by domestic violence in 1985. Thanks to the support of the United Way and caring citizens within our community, the shelter has evolved into an 11,000 square foot, 42 bed facility, one of the largest in the southeastern United States. Though we are located in Monroe, North Carolina, our services are often used by residents of Charlotte and other surrounding counties.
